Virtual classroom courses
The PTC’s open courses are currently delivered online via Zoom by a dedicated, expert tutor. Sessions are split over one, two or three half-days, enabling you to fit them in around your working day. We offer courses for those working in digital, editorial, marketing, people management, project management, rights and sales. A full list is below.
Before the course
Many courses have pre-reading materials. You will also complete a pre-course questionnaire so that tutors know in advance who you are and what you want to achieve from the course.
You can ask about us the course before signing up to decide which one is best for you. We are here to help and to answer your queries. Contact us on .
During the course
Class sizes are limited to ensure personal attention and interaction. You will have the opportunity to interact with and learn from fellow attendees, ask the tutor questions and join in exercises and discussion. Tutors set exercises and/or homework for review, and to test your understanding, and give personalised feedback on your work.
Topics and content of all courses are up to date and regularly refreshed. As PTC tutors also work in publishing, you can benefit from their real-world examples and first-hand experience.
All our training is packed with practical, expert advice and tips, giving you new skills to use immediately in your role.
After the course
All attendees receive a certificate of completion, plus a copy of any slides, documents or presentations for future reference, so you can concentrate fully on what the tutor is saying during the course.
For more information about any of these courses, please email us or sign up to receive our newsletter for updates on these and our other offerings.
