My areas of interest and experience are:
gardening and horticulture; travel and tourism; parenting; film and television; grant funding for the charitable/voluntary sector and academia; science fiction/fantasy/speculative fiction.

Editing and researching on a regular basis for a leading funding and policy database for the public, private and voluntary sectors, and for a grant-funding database specifically for the academic research community.

Five years of experience working as a senior sub-editor, sub-editor and editorial assistant on The English Garden, a glossy monthly magazine.

I also have had several articles published on the subjects of gardening and travel and won the Garden Writers' Guild's New Journalist of the Year award in 2005.

As a volunteer I produced and edited a 40-page newsletter on behalf of my local NCT branch for two years, as well as writing publicity material and information leaflets.
