Change of Chair at the PTC

After almost 16 years as a trustee, Lis Tribe is stepping down from the role of Chair of The Publishing Training Centre (PTC).

She has seen the charity through a period of many changes since joining the Board of Trustees in July 2007, including most recently the coronavirus pandemic of 2020−22.

From 28 April 2022, she will be replaced by Chris Glennie. Chris is currently Chief Executive Officer at Morrisby, an online careers platform used in secondary schools and colleges. He began his career in publishing at Prentice Hall and has held senior roles at Palgrave Macmillan, David Fulton Publishers and Lonsdale Revision Guides.

lisLis Tribe, outgoing Chair of Trustees at the PTC, said: “I have been privileged to work with many talented people in my time at the PTC, not least our group of tutors who are committed to providing the highest quality training to new recruits and existing practitioners across the publishing industry. The staff are a hugely dedicated team led ably by Petra Green with whom I have enjoyed working enormously, and I am delighted to be handing the charity on in good health to Chris.”

Chris Glennie, incoming Chair of Trustees at the PTC, said: “I am very excited to be taking over as PTC Chair, and to working with Petra Green, the rest of the staff team, PTC tutors and other stakeholders to grow and develop this key industry body. The publishing industry is one I have always loved and so am grateful for the opportunity to return in a role that will support others in developing fulfilling careers.”
