The Publishing Training Centre is delighted to present What Impact is AI Having on Publishing Careers? a webinar with three experts to help you navigate the latest developments in generative artificial intelligence (AI).

This 90-minute session will bring you up to date with what is happening in publishing recruitment and the impact that AI is having on job roles, so that you can stay ahead of the game. Each panellist will share insights into their area of expertise and then open the floor to questions. It is an interactive session, with questions and debate actively encouraged.

The speakers will cover:

  • What the current recruitment market looks like, and the AI-related skills and experience that companies are looking for as they hire staff.
  • How a larger publisher is actively applying AI across all its functions, and the impact that is having on working practices, people, teams and dynamics.
  • What companies are looking for and how you can prepare yourself with training and learning to be an attractive prospect and feel confident in your job search.

Who is it for?

  • Those looking to find a first job in publishing or who are thinking of entering the industry.
  • Professionals working in publishing whose role is being impacted or upended by AI.
  • Freelancers who are interested to know what skills their clients are looking for and software they may be expected to use.
  • HR, Learning & Development and other personnel staff who would like to hear how the landscape is changing and what their competitors are doing with regard to AI.
  • Anyone who wants to better understand what kind of AI skills and training they might need now and in future.

Whether you are already using AI expert at work or at home, or you know the term but have yet to apply it to your processes or workflows, this panel will have something for you.
