The Publishing Qualifications Board (PQB)

The Publishing Qualifications Board (PQB) was incorporated in 1991 and has been endorsing qualifications for 30 years. It shares the same management and Board of Trustees as the Publishing Training Centre (PTC). It is a registered UK charity, number 02607034.

The PQB is responsible for developing, delivering and assessing self-study courses. It endorses vocational qualifications within the publishing sector. PQB courses include detailed and carefully moderated performance evaluation and reporting, so that trainees and employers can accurately assess levels of knowledge and skill. Qualifications are awarded at pass, merit or distinction.

These courses and the PQB stamp are recognised by the publishing community as indicators of professional competence. The courses facilitate entry to a variety of publishing careers, particularly as a freelance proofreader or editor.

Complaints and Appeals Procedures
